Salut mes amis !

Hello friends!

We're in the last little bit of 2019 and I've thoroughly been enjoying Paris in the fall.

What an amazing way to serve God in missions.

Some great things have happened and even more are on their way!

So here's a quick update.

Thank you for reading!

So What's Happening?

- The Wedding! -

My big brother is married!!

On September 30th, Drew married Rachael, and I now have a sister!

I was so thankful I got to meet my family in Wyoming for the wedding. God miraculously provided the finances I needed for the short trip. Even though I had some challenging back problems during the time in the states, God was still faithful to provide places to rest and heal.

I even was able to stay in LA on the way back to Paris and rest with a cousin there.

Being there was bittersweet, because although it was a great time to see family, it was still very short. Only a brief 4 days.

It was also challenging going back into a world of careers when I'm actually doing something that is quite unusual compared to other people my age. I'm volunteering full time with a missions organisation! Explaining that to people is not as easy task. So at both the wedding and in LA, thoughts of comparison were quick to come.

Yet, even as questions and doubts came to me about the missions and ministry I'm doing overseas, God continuously gave me encouragement, blessing, and provision the entire time. It was like He was walking beside me the whole trip saying, "I know it's hard, but I'm right here with you. I got you."

Even a random cab driver that took me to the airport at the end of the trip just encouraged me the whole drive saying, "What you're doing is GOOD. Keep going! Keep serving! God is using you!" This random stranger was exactly the encouragement I needed before coming back to Paris.

God is such a GOOD Father.

-Base Ministry Life-

Now that I'm back in Paris serving at the base, I am jumping back into several different jobs. Some old and some brand new!

Our Outreach Teams:

We currently have our Frontline DTS students on outreach for 8 weeks in Nepal and 3 weeks in India!

They've been doing amazing things like working with churches, passing out hundreds of bibles, building new homes, churches, and playgrounds, and sharing the gospel and simple health care with several villages that normal have no access to these things.

They've also seen many miracles! The team of 8 have prayed for many people and seen multiple immediate healings!

In just the first 3 weeks of missions they saw 23 healings and 8 salvations!

Testimonies:

The above pictures are of an old woman that had a very cloudy eye with blindness, and said to the team that she refused to believe in God without healing. But after talking, she let them pray for her. So they prayed and immediately saw the color return to her eye and she received Jesus as Lord right after!

Pictured on the top right is a young girl, around age 5, who had never been able to walk.

Then, after prayer from the team, she was able to walk for the very first time!

That picture is her walking for the first time ever!

Please keep praying for the team as they keep going on this amazing outreach!

What I'm Doing:

I currently have 5 jobs on base.

It is a busy season, but fun!

1. Leading the Media Ministry

This quarter I have 2 new people helping me in media! Praise God!

I now have a team to lead in managing our social media content, advertising our schools, and creating communications for the base. It's both challenging and exciting stepping into a leading position.

I'm currently working on our base's next newsletter, plus videos and promotions for our upcoming schools, plus our brand new schools (The Sports DTS & Birth Attendant School) that start next year.

You can check out our website or social media to see my photography and videos that I work on here:

Here's one of my recent projects that I just finished:

A video to advertise our new Birth Attendant School!

2. Creating the YPC Publishing Ministry

As a base, we've written and produced a book called "Pioneering in Paris", and are in the processing of creating 2 more books! So I am leading out in the production & legal side of publishing these materials. Over the next year, I will be helping create, edit, and publish these books!

This is so exciting, because I've always loved writing and God has really been growing me in leadership and managerial skills. I'm excited for more to come with this project.

3. Leading Base Prayer

Every Tuesday & Thursday, we pray in the mornings as a base for whatever God leads. This quarter, I am leading these times of prayer and intercession! I love partnering with God in prayer for the nations. It's close to my heart, and so this is a fun thing for me to be a part of.

4. Running Music DTS Communications

The Music DTS is our school that runs in the April quarter every year. So as students inquire and apply, I manage all of those communications and the application process.

This is the school I first staffed in 2018, so I love still getting to be involved and help with it.

5. Helping in the Accounts Ministry

The accounts ministry has still need some extra help with people gone on holiday and different things, so this has been an on and off thing for me this quarter. It's cool to see how God is providing for the base and all the volunteers that help here!

Our Discipleship Training Schools (DTS's):

Here's a quick update on the missions schools we are currently running as a base...

The Medical DTS:

This school is currently running!

The 8 students are in their Lecture Phase, being discipled, and learning about God, health care, and serving around the base. They will leave for their 3 month outreach phase in January!

The Backpack Europe DTS:

This school starts January 5th, 2020!

We're expecting over 40 students to come and join us, which will be our BIGGEST DTS yet!

The Birth Attendant School:

The very FIRST 2nd level school here at YPC begins April 2020!

After students do a DTS in YWAM, they can continue onto a 2nd level school like this one!

For this school, students will come and be trained on how to be midwives

and do ministry in hospitals with woman and babies on their outreach!

I am so excited for this school!

The Music DTS:

The Music DTS also begins in April and has a specialised focus on using music in missions to help reach the nations.

The Frontline DTS:

Our 7 Frontline students are currently on outreach! Please keep them in your prayers as they are in closed nations, finding ways to share the gospel and bring Jesus to the unreached.

The NEW Sports DTS:

We're also beginning a NEW DTS next October!

This school will have a specialised focus on using Sports and Athletics in missions!

It's an amazing way to create community and open doors to share the gospel in nations.

- Merry Christmas! -

It's that time of year again!

I will be spending Christmas with the community here in Paris and celebrating together as a family. It's a great time to really come together, share gifts, make delicious holiday food, and just show thankfulness for the amazing year God's guided us through.

If you want to help me be able to bless my loved ones with Christmas Gifts this year,

I'm trusting God for $200!

Please pray for provision and also if you would consider donating to this goal,

I would be very thankful!

We will be doing a gift exchange on Christmas day,

and gift giving is one of my favorite love languages.

I really want to be able to give well and bless my friends here.

Help Support Me:

In Prayer & Finances

All of this is volunteer work!

No one on our base gets paid.

We pay to be here and help because we fully believe

in the impact this place is having on youth, Paris, and the nations.

Please pray and see if you would like to support me in this ministry here.

Thank you!

Things I'm Trusting for:

1. My Visa Validation - The Visa office here in France has yet to mail me and "stamp" my visa. This is unusual, because it's typically done by the 3rd month back (and I've been back in France for 4). So please prayer the my visa process continues without anymore blockages! By January I'll have to start the renewal process for next year, so any delay now will only delay future things.

2. $200 to help cover Christmas gifts! We celebrate as a big family here at base, and I want to be able to bless my family here and even back home with presents for the season.

3. Monthly Supporters - to cover my accommodation, food, and daily basic amenities I need a minimum of $500/month. God's given me a big goal of trusting for 1,000 a month! This would allow me to save for things like trips home, housing furnishings, and a possible scooter for transportation. It seems like a mountain of a goal, but I know God does the impossible all the time!

With my current monthly supporters, I'm at an income of $435/month. That's almost half way! Please pray about supporting me in my ministry for France.

4. More Photoshoots - this has been a great way for me to have a little extra income so far, but I still need more clients :) Please refer me to anyone and everyone!

If you could help me in ANY of these areas,

I would be SO thankful!

I love you all & I'm wishing you a very merry Christmas!

Thanks to everyone for all the support and prayers!

I couldn't do this without YOU!

Much Love,

Emily Mintz
