Let 2020 Begin!
- A Year of Triumph -
It's a brand new year!
I'm so excited for the things happening and things to come.God is doing great things.Thank you for being apart of the journey with me!
Also, I've made a missions focused Facebook group that's private to the public so I can post more in detail testimonies from our outreaches and ministries here! If you want to join for more frequent updates and pictures, just go here!
What's New:
- The Backpack Europe DTS Began -

New youth being discipled!!
The January Backpack Europe DTS (Discipleship Training School) began January 5th! Over 30 students have come to join us for 3 months of lectures about God and growing in character and then in March, they will split up and go on 3 months of missions into the nations!I love this school! They range from ages 18 to 31 and come from all over the world, hungry to learn more about God and grow in their relationships with Him. It's amazing!
I've loved getting to know them, encourage them in their faith, and soon will get to see them released into 18 nations around Europe, Easter Europe, and the UK to share Jesus and do all kinds of ministry throughout the time.
What a privilege it is to disciple the next generation of world changers.
I love this part of our ministry here at the base!
Prayer Point: That these ones would continue to grow in their relationship with God, and that finances would start to come for their 3 month outreach. Each of them are trusting for 2,000 euros to cover the costs.

-Base Ministry Life-
What I'm Doing:
I currently still lead our Media Ministry on the base! Each day, I lead a team of myself and 2 others to work on our website, youtube, facebook, instagram, and create content (photos and videos) to promote our base and share our values. It's cool to see God use these gifts in me. I'm also starting to trust God for a new camera so I can better serve here. If you have any suggestions or advice, please let me know!
Another BIG project I've taken on, is I'm helping create two new books!
A YWAM Cookbook, and a book on Hospitality.
They will be published by us as YWAM Paris Connect, and it's my job to figure out publishing legalities, as well as lead in the creation of the design and photography of them.
We want these books to go to missionaries bases around the world as a gift, because God's really put the importance of the 2 topics on our heart. That just because one is a missionary, doesn't mean one can't eat well! We've worked hard to create great meals on a small budget, and want to share that gift. As well, God's heart for hospitality, loving people, and welcoming them in, are all things we have a heart to communicate through the 2nd book.
This has been a fun project, but also very daunting! I have never done anything like it before. Legal research, plus food photography? Who knew?!
Yet, I'm learning so many new things and I really believe God has a big plan for these books.
Here are some examples of the work I've been doing on the books!

Base Prayer & Evangelism:

Every Tuesday, the base has been going up to Sacre Coeur Cathedrale, a church that overlooks the city of Paris. This is a time where we pray for the city and the people in it. It's an amazing time to hear God's heart for our city and partner with him to change thing through prayer.

Wednesday's we continue to go out in different groups for focused Evangelism throughout the city. Some of the different group focuses include Sports Ministry (going out and playing team sports with the local kids and young adults), Homeless Ministry (passing out clothes and items that we as a base feel to give away, as well as hot drinks and food), Red Light District Ministry (going to hot spots for prostitution, covering these areas in prayer, and follow God's guidance in relationships), and then teams that will do one on one evangelism and also Worship and Street Preaching.
All of these groups have a focus on building relationship, loving on our neighbours and the people of Paris, and sharing who Jesus is.
We've had some great encounters through these days, including salvations, healings, and more!

The Property Project:

So as a lot of you know already, we've been working towards fundraising for the 2.5 million euros we need to buy the land.
So far we've seen over 245,000 euros come in!
So cool! As well as in land, God as been expanding us in staff numbers too. Since we started the base in October 2018 with 12 full time volunteers "staff", we've grown to around 35 full time staff, and now are running schools like the Backpack Europe DTS every quarter! Totalling 5 DTS's and one 2nd level school!
God is growing this place at a massive momentum that is all Him, and none of our strength. He's doing something beyond us!

Every bit helps!

I'll be coming home for a brief visit at the end of May for just over 2 weeks.
If you'd like to meet up for coffee and hear some more detailed updates on what I've been doing, please let me know! I'd love to see you and chat!
See you soon St. Louis!!!
- Medical Update -
A lot of you probably already know that last year I struggled with increasingly bad back pain that would sometimes keep me bed ridden for weeks at a time. In January, my doctor here in France diagnosed it after an x-ray as mild scoliosis, meaning that there's a curve in my spine that has been putting more strain on my lumber (lower back) and has put my hips out of alignment. One of the discs between my vertebrae (these act like cushions in the spine for movement) has been worn down to basically nothing.
The basically makes walking more than 15 minutes at a time a painful process, and there's a lot of inflammation in the muscles around the spine that have been trying to over compensate. So I'm now in physical therapy every other week and trying to rest as much as I can in between to get back to normal living.
Thank you to everyone who's prayed for my health and given towards these medical expenses. I'm SO thankful for you all.
I'm confident that I will fight past this with God at my side.
Help Support Me:
- In Prayer & Finances -
All of this is volunteer work!
No one on our base gets paid.
We pay to be here and help because we fully believe in the impact this place is having on youth, Paris, and the nations.
Please pray and see if you would like to support me in this ministry here.
Thank you!
Things I'm Trusting for:
1. $600 for my flights to Home and back.
2. French Health Insurance - I've applied for health care over here to help cover the physical therapy and medicines I need for this scoliosis diagnosis. Please be praying they accept me into the program! The sooner, the better. This well lessen my medical bills by nearly 70%!
3. Monthly Partners - to help cover my daily expenses and ministry, I'm inviting people to join my team and partner with me monthly. Please pray about joining my team and funding my ministry here in YWAM.
4. More Photoshoots - if you know any friends or family traveling to Europe, please refer me to anyone and everyone!
