Summer Outreach & New Opportunities! (Part 2)

Here's part 2 of my update: Summer edition!

We just finished our Summer Outreach "Paris Je t'Aime", new schools are coming up, & I'm heading off to do some new experiences in French School!

- Paris Je t'Aime Outreach! -

"Paris Je t'Aime" (Paris I love you), is a 2 week summer outreach that focuses on loving and reaching the city of Paris.

We had churches, teams, and missionaries from all over the world come and join us for this outreach this year, and were able to partner with several different local ministries throughout the city.

Every day, we started together with Worship or Prayer, and then had some teaching on evangelism or missions before going out into the city in the afternoons & evenings.

God did so many incredible things, but here's just a few of them!

- Partnering with Local Parisian Ministries -

In the afternoons, we'd split up into 6 groups, and partnered with different ministries and focuses around the city, building up the local churches and already existing good that's being done. These groups included:

• Homeless Ministry - serving at food banks and passing out sandwiches and drinks freely

• Local Evangelism - partnering with a few local churches, we had a few groups go out and just pray for people, serve, and witness to others as they felt lead. They also put on a children's program where we put on an event for local kids with face painting, games, and prizes!

• Woman's Ministry - We also had a group that went to red light districts of Paris and just loved on and prayed for the many women in prostitution. They were able to pass out water on hot days to the girls, had them flowers and encouragement notes, and as well pray for them and show them that Jesus still loves and values them. So amazing!

- Nightly Evangelism -

Every evening we were able to go to one of the biggest (and roughest) squares in the city and share Jesus.

We would have worship, have skits, dance performances, share testimonies of what God has done in our lives, and then share the good news of what Jesus wants to do in theirs.

We saw so many people encounter Jesus in these times and I loved watching God move!

In the evenings, I helped lead worship & took photos/videos of the event while I would walk around and talk with people.

I had some great conversations with people (& also spoke more French than I ever have before!).

I would look around me and see people having conversations about God everywhere I looked. It was a beautiful sight. Some people would come over and watch one of the skits, and I would see tears in their eyes. Others would come and just start smiling like crazy when they saw us being goofy and just worshipping Jesus with genuine Joy.

Testimony:

One night, I talked to a young girl came over to see what was going on while we were worshipping. I got to talking to her about who we are and what we do. She came from a catholic background, but had never experienced anything personal with Jesus.

So I got to share how Jesus had shown himself personally in my life and that He's so much more than just a religion, but He is a real relationship. She was really amazed to hear my story and that God could actually show up in our lives in such real ways.

She wanted to experience that for herself and after we talked for nearly 40 minutes, she let me pray for her to have a personal experience with Jesus and know him more!

- Salvations, Healings, & More! -

So many miracles! I saw a girl's wrist swollen & sprained get prayed for and healed! The pain and swelling immediately went away.

I saw a young Brazilian man watch one of the skits and immediately burst into tears. He was at this point in his life where he knew he needed to make a choice: to choose God or to just walk away. But God was tugging on his heart!

He was struggling with the fear of what life would be like if he chose Jesus, and whether or not he could truly walk away from the sins in his past. After talking and praying with him, a few of our team watched Him choose Jesus and give his life to the Lord!

I watched several other young men give their hearts to Jesus these past weeks, and now there's a new bible study begun with these new believers and they're connected into churches we partnered with.

God is moving in Paris!

What a beautiful 2 weeks!

I am EXHAUSTED & totally behind in my work in our Accounts ministry,

but it is WORTH it because people met Jesus.

Holidays

I'm taking a few weeks off this month just to rest a bit before my French school starts in September! So be praying for me for a restful time, as well as favor and provision in the finances for traveling.

- French Immersion School! -

This fall, I've been accepted to join a 3 month French school!

I desperately need to improve my French! If Paris Je t'Aime showed me anything, it is that full immersion is my next step in this language learning.

During last month's outreach I would have full and long conversations in French, talking about God and our lives, but I struggled to really go deep with people, because my language level just wasn't there.

This school is the next step in my ministry! In order to reach the French speaking nations on my heart, this is a must-do!

God will use the skills I bring to the table to reach the lost.

The program teaches 1 month of French lectures, then 2 months of full French immersion where I'll be speaking & hearing only French every day and also doing ministry and living with French families! The school is located at another YWAM base in Provence, France, and costs $2,000 for the full school, housing, and food (which is a great deal).

Things I'm Trusting for:

• French School - The 3 months immersion cost $2,000, plus travel ($200~)

• Moped License / Insurance - The finances to buy my scooter are in! Now I'm just trusting for my French driver's license to finish being processed (it's been accepted, but the paperwork is hitting a lot of blockages). So please be praying for that! I'll also need finances for insurance to cover my moped for damages, theft, & accidents. I'm trusting for a few supporters to help me! Full coverage will cost around $90/month
  

• Healing & Wisdom on for my back problems and continuing forward.

• Monthly Financial Partners - I'm still trusting for about $400 more a month to help cover my daily expenses and ministry. I'm inviting people to join my team and partner with me monthly. Please pray about joining my team and funding my ministry here in YWAM.
